KANNAWIDAN A FEAST OF RICH HERITAGE

Imahe
"Health is the most important during this pandemic, and nothing can negate this fact."         It is true that Vigan holds the most significant history the Philippines could offer. Spanish culture is highly-preserved, anncestral structures are the best evidences for this living Spanish Culture. Vigan City proves that although, man had worked for centuries to rebuild the city, its beauty withstand the values it holds.         Kannawidan Festival is the grandest celebration that our City could offer. Every Ilocano looks forward to the Kannawidan Festival because it is a grand celebration of our culture. It is a time where every municipality comes together as one to thank God not only for our bountiful harvests but also to celebrate our successes and gains as a province. This ocassion provides entertainment, joy, and pride to the people, not only for the Biguenos but for the entire Ilocos Sur. That is why every district may have their ow...

Chapter 2 of 4

Imahe
"The sun of the second quarter may have set, but its afterglow within me will never fade!"         Today is marked with marvelous weather. Warm, bright; the sunshine frolicking gaily on my warm cheeks. Such a day is in harmony with my task.          Chapter 2 of 4 is written. It cannot be summed up with just tasks and learnings. Mental breakdowns, failures, doubts, and mistakes — these are just words but it speaks a lot about my experience during this quarter.         As I walked my journey during the second quarter of this school year, great cramming skills and procastination talent had been my companion.          During the second quarter, we explored the ever-vast contents of HTML. The 1st activity was a monster first then turned to a supportive friend — it was the hardest but it helped me a lot, the following tasks become easier. The learning I have gained was all about HTML tags, c...

Make good use of technology. Consider hosting virtual parties and religious services, unwrapping gifts over Zoom, or walking while chatting on your cell phone with people outside your bubble. . Help others. Prepare and drop off meals for Elders or sick people who may be alone for the holidays, while maintaining physical distancing and wearing a mask. Drop off a small bag of Christmas treats to your neighbour.   Christmas shop online. Avoid crowded malls! If you do go to the mall, remember that you are required to wear a mask and physically distance. Alternatively, use the curb-side pick-up option.  Don't overdo it! A few treats are fine, but too many holiday cocktails or treats – or too much Christmas shopping – will only feel good temporarily and cause further problems. Many people cope with stress by overindulging in not-so-healthy things, but it's best to be mindful and choose things that will make us look, feel and   be   better in the long run! ...

THEMATIC ASSESSMENT IN ICT  I always have goosebumps whenever I am watching a documentary featuring women. A camera walking down a hall showing portraits of women who have different achievements and contributions which helped humanity inspires me to take higher risks and be braver. As the camera walked its way, the world is more protected. At that time, gender inequality was checkmated by queens. Gender inequality died the death it deserved, giving more space to women empowerment.          Women have gone through a lot in a male-dominated world. History books are living evidence of how women lived their life being oppressed and underestimated even our culture if only given the voice will narrate how women crawled to be at their own destinations. A lot of them were deprived of things that they deserve such as education, job opportunities, and rights. They were discrimi...

A FRESH START

It’s now painfully clear that schools ought to have had more robust disaster-preparedness plans in place in the event of interruptions in their campus operations. But because many schools did not have such plans in place…online learning is about to get a bad reputation at many campuses, I suspect during   these school closures, all face-to-face lessons were cancelled, compelling many institutions, including our own university, to immediately transition from face-to-face in-person learning to completely online lessons. The abrupt switch to fully online learning has been particularly stressful for many instructors and students who prefer in-person instruction. Online learning is often stigmatized as a weaker option that provides a lower quality education than in-person face-to-face learning  Against this backdrop, this study compares the effects of online flipped classrooms versus conventional flipped classrooms on student learning outcomes. To this end, two conventional fl...
